Obituary of Evelyn Bernice Steers (Gallagher)

  87, Halifax, passed away April 22, 2013 in the Halifax Infirmary, QEII. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Harold and Maude (Ella) Gallagher. Bernice is survived by loving husband LaVerne; sons, Richard, Halifax; Larry, Head Of St. Margaret’s Bay; daughter, Linda Lunn, Hammonds Plains; brother Matthew Gallagher, Dartmouth and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters, Muriel and twin Ruby. Arrangements are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd (477-5601) 149 Herring Cove Rd, where visitation will be held 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Friday April 26. Funeral service will be 10:00a.m. Saturday April 27 from the funeral home chapel, Rev. Gordon Relf officiating. Interment to follow in St. James Anglican Cemetery, Port Dufferin. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
