Obituary of Arthur Kendall "Ken" Lumsden

82, Halifax, it is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ken on April 20, 2013, at home, surrounded by his family. Born in Sydney, he was a son of the late Joseph and Hazel (Coulson) Lumsden. Ken was a veteran of the Korean War and had worked as an industrial insulator all of his life until retirement. Ken is survived by step sons, Clarence Bissett (Marilyn), Dartmouth; George Bissett (Dorothy), North Sydney; step daughters, Patricia Smith, Nunavik; Rosemary Krutz, Halifax; brother, Raymond Lumsden, Westmount; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by wife Marion (MacKinnon), step son, John Blaise, sister, Doris Barrie, brother Lynson, Ralph Coulson. Arrangements are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. (477-5601). No visitation by request. A graveside service will take place 2:00 p.m. Saturday May 11, in St. Mary’s Parish Cemetery, Frenchvale. Memorial donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society.
