Obituary of Estel Theodore "Ted" Clattenburg

90, Halifax, passed away April 25, 2013 in the Halifax Infirmary, QEII. Born in LaHave, he was a son of the late Freeman and Violet (Lohnes) Clattenburg. Ted had worked in automotive sales up until his retirement. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge for over 65 years. He is survived by sons, Paul (Monica) Halifax; John (Carla), Williamswood; daughters, Gail Drisdelle (Douglas), Williamswood; Wendy (George Beatty), Halifax; grandchildren Suzanne, Estelle, Timothy, David, Iain; sister-in-law, Joan Demont; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Norma (Briers), brothers, Allister, Arnold, Max, Ralph, Garth, Wesley; and sister Audrey. Arrangements are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. (477-5601) 149 Herring Cove Rd. No visitation by request. A celebration of Ted’s life will be held Wednesday May 15, at 11a.m. from the funeral home chapel, Pastor Timothy Drisdelle officiating. Interment to follow in Fairview Lawn Cemetery, Halifax. . In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the QEII Foundation, Community Health Unit.
