Obituary of Regina M. Ossinger

Ossinger, Regina Mabel - 87, Harrietsfield, passed away peacefully on Sunday May 12 at home surrounded by her loving family at her side. Born in Cape Negro Island, she was the daughter of the late John and Alda (Bly) Smith. Regina loved strawberries, playing cards, darts, bingo, bowling and dancing. She was a member of the Spryfield Legion, and loved to attend dances at the Legion and the Golden Age Society. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 63 years, Ernest; daughters, Janice (Kevin) Warner; Sharon (Steve) Vossen; her sons, Ernest Jr. (Irene), Calvin (Susan), Michael (Debbie), Alan (Judy); grandchildren, Victoria, April, Melissa, Sherman, Wayne, Jason, Joseph, Scott, Craig; great-grandchildren, Isabella, Tyler, Mitchell, Dakota, Taiton and Isabella; sister, Joyce Anderson; sister-in-laws, Marjorie Smith, Vivian Smith and Patricia Ossinger; brother-in-law, Murray Ossinger. She was predeceased by sisters, Marguerite Perry and Stella Goulden; brothers, Danny, Chester, Lawrence, Alpheus and infant boy. Arrangements are under the care of JA Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd, 149 Herring Cove Road, Spryfield, NS (477.5601), where visitation will be held on Thursday May 16 from 6-8 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Friday May 17 at noon from the funeral home chapel.
