Obituary of Georgina Margaret "Gina" Pemberton
68, Halifax, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2013 in the Arborstone Enhanced Care. Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Dorothy (Jones) Pemberton. Gina loved bingo, playing cribbage, also loved watching game shows, she always worried about everyone, loved children and being a caregiver, whenever needed, she was always there, she loved to bowl in her younger years, and she was an avid bowler. She is survived by siblings, Anita Garside; Marjorie Pemberton (Ronald Bayer); Richard Pemberton, all of Spryfield, Elta Courtemanche (Herve); Monson "Sonny" (Eleanor) Pemberton, both of Lower Sackville; Dorothy Beazley (Harry), Upper Nine Mile River; Leona Lorman (Robert), Bridgewater, half brother Arthur Pemberton, London, Ontario, and half sister Bonita Boussey, Amherstburg, Ontario, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins. She was predeceased, by half brother, Delbert and niece Brenda Lee. Arrangements are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. (477-5601), where visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 5 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m., with a funeral service to be held on Thursday, June 6 at 2 p.m. from the funeral home chapel, Rev. Jeannie Manning-Stright officiating, reception to follow. Interment to take place at a later date. Donations in memory of Gina may be made to the Heart and Stoke Foundation of Nova Scotia or the Lung Association of Nova Scotia.
