Obituary of Matthew Brendan Ryan

RYAN, Matthew Brendan – 38, Lower Sackville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 25, 2013, in the VG site, QEII surrounded by his loving family, after a brief courageous battle with cancer.  Born in Halifax, he was the son of Brendan and Elaine (LeBlanc) Ryan. Matt was a devoted husband, father, son and son in-law. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He will lovingly be remembered by his wife, Judy; sons, Connor and Tyler; sister, Emmy; parents in-law, Karen and Fred; sister in-law, Tracy; brother in-law, Darren. Special thanks to the staff of Palliative Care at the VG Site, QEII for their compassionate care and support. Arrangements are under the direction of J. A. Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax (477-5601) where visitation will be held on Friday, September 27 from 6-9 PM.  The funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at 1 PM from the funeral home chapel, with a reception to follow.  Family flowers only by request.  Donations in Matt’s memory may be made to charity of one’s choice.
