Obituary of Ronald James Munroe
( July 23, 1943- September 28, 2013) Halifax, died peacefully on September 28, 2013 at the age of 70 years, at the Parkland Estates Drummond Hall.
Ronald is survived by his wife, Linda (Nickerson), Halifax; sister, Eleanor (Mark) Zazulak , Gananoque ON. He was predeceased by his parents, Alvin Fred Munroe and Marjorie Eleanor Young. Born in Ottawa, ON., Ronald began his long career in the Federal Department of Energy, Mines and Resources, retiring 18 years ago. He was a loving husband, loyal friend and a man of deep faith. His generosity, hospitality, love of trains and photography will be long remembered by his family and acquaintances.
Arrangements are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. 149 Herring Cove Rd. (477-5601), where visitation will be held Wednesday October 2, from 1-2 p.m., with memorial service to follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Rev. Douglas Mott officiating. Interment to follow in the East Pennant Cemetery, East Pennant.
