Obituary of Alfred Joseph Thibodeau

Thibodeau, Alfred Joseph, Age 69, of Herring Cove. It is with great sadness that the family of Alfred Thibodeau announces his sudden passing at home on October 8, 2013. Born on January 7, 1944, in Meteghan, Digby Co., he was the son of the late John and Irene Thibodeau. Alfred was a master carpenter his entire working career and was well-known and respected for his expertise in his trade and his devotion to quality workmanship. Alfred is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Aline (Pothier); his daughters, Alisa (Glenn) Aymar of Meteghan; Angela (Hiroshi Kawai) of Sackville, N.B.; his son, Johnathan of Halifax; and his precious granddaughter, Chidori Kawai Thibodeau. He is survived by his sister, Agnes (Victor) Comeau; and brother, Edmund (Annette) Thibodeau. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by son, Alfred in infancy. There will be visitation in J.Albert Walker Funeral Home in Spryfield today, October 10, from 7-9 p.m.; and visitation in Meteghan Funeral Home in Meteghan Funeral Home on Friday, October 11 from 7-9 p.m.Funeral service to be held in Stella Maris church in Meteghan on Saturday, October 12 at 2 p.m. Any donations can be made to IWK Health Centre.
