Obituary of Bernard Ambrose "Bernie" Burke

Age 55, Halifax, passed away suddenly on October 18, 2013, in the Halifax Infirmary QEII. Born in Halifax, he was a son of Phillip and the late Lorraine (Romans) Burke. In his life, Bernie was a loving man who cared for everyone. He is survived by brothers, David (Darlene); Steven, both of Halifax; sister, Debbie Oickle (Wade), Bridgewater; nephews, Shawn and Jason; dear friend, Johnny Giles and his wife Donna; and good friends, Ernie Williams and Valerie . Arrangements are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. (477-5601) 149 Herring Cove Rd., where a service of remembrance will be held Wednesday October 23 at 1p.m., reception to follow. Interment to take place in Gate Of Heaven Cemetery Lower Sackville. Donations in memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
