Obituary of M. Eileen Dean

Dean, Mary "Eileen" (Boudreau):  89, Spryfield, passed away peacefully at the QEIIHospital, Halifax, NS on October 29, 2013, surrounded by her loving family.  Born in Little Dover, Guysborough County, NS, she was a daughter of the late Alfred and Agnes (Munroe) Boudreau.  Eileen was a parishioner of St. Michael’s Catholic Church, where she proudly was a long standing member of the Catholic Women’s League.  She always talked about her days working at Kay’s Coffee Shop, and had volunteered for the Red Cross many years ago.  Eileen is survived by her son, Donnie (Verna), Sackville, daughters, Sharon Jeffrey (Richard), Spryfield, Shelley Dean, Spryfield,  and Karen Alberts (Al), Timberlea, as well as 8 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by brothers, Kenny Boudreau, and Alex "Snyder" Boudreau, both of Halifax, and sister, Annie Roberts, Sackville.  She was predeceased by her husband, Harold, son Ronnie, brother, Jimmy and sisters, Florence Glendenning, Gladys Bourque, and Lillian Battiste.             Cremation has taken place under the care of JA Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax, NS (477.5601), where visitation will be held on Thursday, October 31, 2013 from 11 AM – 2 PM, followed by a service of remembrance in the funeral home chapel at 2PM.  Interment will take place at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lower Sackville, NS.  Donations in memory of Eileen may be made to the charity of one’s choice.  Words of comfort may be sent to the family by visiting www.walkerfh.com
