Obituary of Shirley Hope Leeco (Arnold)

 Shirley Hope (Arnold) Leeco died peacefully at her home November 8, 2013.  She was a daughter of the late Harris and Nora (MacLean) Arnold.  Born on Prince Edward Island, Shirley lived many years in Ontario before making her home in Halifax.  Shirley was trained as a nurse, but her life’s work was caring for her son. She was a devoted mother and Christian. She is survived by her son Richard (Jacalyn) Leeco, four grandchildren, sisters Faith Steeves (Nanaimo, BC), Joan Dingwell (Charlottetown), Olga Reid (Halifax), brother Harrison Arnold (PEI) as well as several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her infant brother, her brother Ezra Arnold, and her sister Sylvia Lawrence.  Shirley’s beauty, wit and loving heart will be missed. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 12 at 2:00 pm in J. Albert Walker Funeral Home, Halifax.  Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
