Obituary of Gary Russel Schnare

Age 57, Halifax, passed away on Monday, January 6, 2014 in Arborstone Enhanced Care with loving family by his side. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Raymond "Hon" and Marie Schnare. Gary will be greatly missed by daughter, Kimberley Mountain; 2 grandchildren; sisters, Debbie and Gail Schnare, Heather (Ross) Vallis; brothers, Barry (Lisa), Donnie (Fran), and Kevin (Shelly) Schnare; many nieces and nephews. A special thanks to Arborstone Enhanced Care, 2nd floor staff, for their care and support. Cremation has taken place under the care of J. A. Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax, where a time of reception and visitation will be held on Friday, January 10 from 6-8PM. A service of remembrance will be held on Saturday, January 11 at 10:30 AM from the funeral home chapel, Rev. Russell Saulnier officiating. Interment will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Donations in Gary’s memory may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.
