Obituary of Jessie "Joyce" Naylor

It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of Mom, Jessie Joyce Naylor, age 87 of Terence Bay, in the Halifax Infirmary on Saturday, January 25, 2014. She passed away peacefully with her family by her side. She was the daughter of the late Jessie Mae and Michael Lester Slaunwhite. She was a member of St. Paul's Anglican Church and active in the Choir and Church Council. She also enjoyed going on bus tours with the seniors, playing bingo, cards and spending time with family and friends. She was a loving wife, sister, mother and grandmother. She will be sadly missed by her daughter, Nancy (Stanley); sons, Henry (Heather) and Fred (Pat); brother, Clifford; 7 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Gerald; sister, Una and brother, Vernard. Many thanks to the staff of 8.2 at the QEII, for their compassionate care and support. Arrangements are under the care of J. A. Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax, where visitation will take place on Tuesday, January 28 from 6 - 8pm. A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, January 29 at 11 am at St. Paul's Anglican Church, Pastor Lisa Vaughn officiating. Interment will be held in St. Paul's Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to St. Paul's Anglican Church, Terence Bay.
