Obituary of E. Cyril Larade

Age 77, passed away August 17, 2014 at the Parkstone Enhanced Care facility. Born in Cheticamp, Cyril was a son of the late Joseph and Judique Larade. His smile that lit up rooms continuously will never be forgotten. Not to be one to complain, Cyril was always the first to lend a hand to anyone in need and nothing made him happier than being surrounded by the many children his family gave to him. Working for 25 plus years for Can Med Surgical Supplies, Cyril would pass the time at home with a few games of cards and always found time to be a an awesome husband, father, uncle, grandfather and even a great grandfather. Though he is no longer with us, he will live on in our memories forever. Cyril will be lovingly missed by his wife Clara (Chiasson); step Sons Blair (Brenda) Pettitpas, Cheticamp and Anthony (Carolyn) Chiasson, Halifax; step daughter Debbie (Vincent) Cormier, Cheticamp; sisters Marie Sophie, Beatrice, Cecile, Therese (Walter) and Stella (Yvon); brothers Leo (Lucienne), Andre (Joan) and Marcel (Sylvia); grandchildren Darren (Charlene), Daphne, Monica (Danny), Colleen, Matthew and Emma; great grandchildren Blair-Marie, Nolan, Rylan and many nieces and nephews.  Cyril is predeceased by his parents; his first wife Marie Pettitpas; sister Margaret Ann (Willie); brothers Pierre Theodore (Germaine), Alphonse and Placide; brother in laws Sid, George and Josie. Cyril’s family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at Parkstone Enhanced Care.  Arrangements are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. Halifax, 477-5601. No visitation by request and a funeral service will take place at a later date. Donations in Cyril’s name can be made to the Parkinsons Society Canada or a charity of ones choice.
