Obituary of Edward T. "Eddy" Mombourquette
Eddy passed away on Sunday, August 31, 2014, doing what he loved best, riding his motorcycle on route to Halifax from the Wharf Rat Rally. Born in Halifax, on December 17, 1951 to Henry and Joan (Chisholm) Mombourquette.
Eddy’s love of motorcycles began when he built his first motorcycle from a box of parts he bought when he was 16. He was one of the original "Bucket Boys" and he also coached Spryfield Minor Hockey. He was former co-owner of Triple E Motorcycles (Kempt Rd.) and present owner of Eddy Landscaping.
Eddy is survived by his son, Tom; father, Henry; sisters: Judy (Randy) Morgan, Marlene (Ron) Hudson, Cathy (Michael) McConnell, Denise (Dwight) Barnes and Margo Johnson; brothers, Stephen/Aggie, Danny, Paul (Lynn). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and also great nieces and great nephews who all loved their Uncle Eddy. Eddy was predeceased by his mother, Joan and nephew, Christopher Coady.
A Celebration of Life will take place at J. A. Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax on Saturday, September 20, 2014 from 1-4 pm. Family Flowers only, donations in Eddy’s memory may be made to The Nova Scotia Heart & Stroke Foundation.
