Obituary of Erie Sinto

Age 66, passed away September 11, 2014 at the QEII Victoria General Site. Born in Nishinomiya, Japan, Erie was a son of Dr. Akira and Fukuko (Ohara) Saito. Erie had a life long love for the arts. He loved music and painting, which led him to pursue a career in Graphic design after graduating from Halifax West High School with honors and eventually graduating from NASCAD with a scholarship. Erie was also a devout Buddhist. Erie is survived by his mother Fukuko; sister Kendra Saito, Halifax; brother Kim (Robin) Saito, Arkansas, USA; nephew Christopher (Emily) Saito and niece Jessica. Erie was predeceased by his father Dr. Akira. The family wishes to express their special thanks to the staff at the Halifax Infirmary ICU and the VG Centennial ICU for their compassionate care. Cremation has taken place under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. Halifax (477-5601).  .
