Obituary of Betty Lee Perks (McKay)

Age 82, Halifax, passed away suddenly at home October 6, 2014. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Dora (Bobbitt) McKay. Betty was a teacher for over 25 years for the International Art Of Living Foundation. She is survived by husband Gordon F.; son, Ronald, Halifax; daughter, Brenda, Windsor; sisters, Millie Saxton, Bridgewater; Sandra Brunt, Prospect; Doralyn Crofts, Ontario; Carol Stewart, Edmonton, Alta.; grandchildren Gregory, David, Christopher, Steven and Shawn; great grandchildren, Levi and Ethan, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brother, Paul and sister, Margaret. In keeping with Betty’s wishes, there will be no visitation or services. Cremation has taken place under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. (477-5601). Interment to take place at a later date.
