Obituary of Ronald Francis "Scott" Yeadon
Age 88, of Halifax, resident of Melville Lodge for the last 10 years, passed away peacefully Thursday, October 16, 2014, at the QEII Health Science Centre. Born in Halifax, he was one of fifteen children born to the late William P. Yeadon and Winifred A. (Jarrette) Yeadon. He is survived by brothers William and Bernie Yeadon of Halifax. Scott was employed as a plasterer most of his working years, creating a light garbage pick up service in his later years eventually passing it down to his son Ronald Jr. He was predeceased by his wife Marjorie (Young); son Ronald F. Yeadon Jr.; three children in infancy Blossom, Margaret who are buried at Yeadon Cemetery as well as one child donated to science at Dalhousie University; brothers Harry, John, Malcolm, Robert; sisters Hilda Yeadon, Winifred Banfield, Helen Stephenson, Dorothy White, Margaret Yeadon, Mary Manual, Rita Cleveland and Theresa Thorne. Arrangements are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax where a visitation will take place Tuesday October 21 from 11-1 pm followed by a service in the funeral home chapel at 1 pm. Interment at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Lower Sackville. Donations in Scott’s name can be made to a charity of ones choice.
