Obituary of Norma Theresa Thompson (Martin)

Ketch Harbour, passed away at the age of 82 on November 2, 2014. Norma was a loving and caring mother survived by sons Wallace "Wally" (Kim), Ketch Harbour NS; Bruce (Yvette), Edmonton, AB; Brien, Edmonton, AB; Lyle, Kelowna BC; Daughters Kathleen Gavacs, Halifax; Joy (Don) Higgins, Edmonton AB; Donna (Michael) Czarka, Edmonton, AB. Norma will be remembered by her 16 grandchildren Amy Amos; Tamara, Joshua and Kendra Thompson; Vanessa and Cory Higgins; James Thompson-Gavacs; Gloria and Steven Gavacs; Nicholas and William Paul; Stephanie Mischa-Thompson; November Enosse-Thompson, Axl Enosse-Thompson; Dakota Rose; Daryle Brown. She was also survived by 4 great grandchildren; brothers Bill Martin and Joey Martin; sister Dot Kiley. She was predeceased by her former husband Bruce Albert Thompson; brothers Jimmy Martin, and George Martin; and parents Jim and Gertrude (Saunders)Martin. Cremation has taken place under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. 149 Herring Cove Rd., where visitation will be Friday November 7, from 10a.m. - 12p.m., followed by a service of remembrance. Interment to take place in Gate Of Heaven Cemetery, Lower Sackville. Donations in memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or The Alzheimer’s Society of Nova Scotia.
