Obituary of Joseph Andre Doucet

64, Halifax, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 8, 2014 in the QEII, New Halifax Infirmary. Born in Cheticamp, he was a son of the late Louis and Ada (Aucoin) Doucet. Joe worked at the VG site, QEII in the dietary department, retiring after 31 years. He was an avid Toronto Blue Jay and Leafs fan. He will be forever missed and never forgotten by his family. He is survived by his children, Terri-Lynne, Richard and Andy; 11 grandchildren, he especially shared a loving connection with his granddaughter, Ashley. Joe was the eldest of five children, sisters, Marie Celeste (Derrik), Marguerite Marie (Fernand), Marie Geralda (Richard); brother, Joseph Gerald; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 29 years, Debra Ann. In keeping with Joe’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service. Interment will take place at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
