Obituary of Phillip Gregory Petrossie
Age 50, Halifax, passed away suddenly at home March 7, 2015. Born in Halifax on April 10, 1964, he was a son of the late Marcel and Jennie (Fleet) Petrossie.
Phillip was the light of our lives, a gentle kind loving soul, never moved to anger. He enjoyed being a coworker to his many friends at Prescott Mailing Services, where he was employed for 30 years. He was a swimmer with Nova Scotia Special Olympics, winning numerous medals and ribbons over the years, retiring from swimming within the past six years. Phillip also enjoyed bowling, wrestling, his super heros, his coffee and special gatherings with family and friends.
He is survived by brothers, David (Margaret); Lanny (Roxanne), Carl, Lonny, Jan (Rita); sisters, Sharon Dann (Walter), Lucy Adams (Jack), Carolyn Hovey (Lloyd), Donna Pothier (Charles), Janice Little (Keith), all of Halifax; numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his grandparents John and Mary Petrossie and Ken and Gladys Fleet; brothers, John, Fred, Michael; sister Margaret and nephew Dwayne.
Arrangements are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. 149 Herring Cove Rd. where visitation will be held Wednesday March 11 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Funeral service will be held Thursday March 12 at 2p.m. from the funeral home chapel, Rev. Gloria McClure-Fraser officiating. Reception to follow. Interment to take place at a later date.
