Obituary of Paul J. LeBlanc
Age 58, of Halifax, Passed away unexpectedly March 18, 2015. Born in Halifax May 11th, 1956, Paul was a son of the late Emery and Mary LeBlanc.
Paul graduated from Halifax West High School with honors and received a bursary to further his education at Mount Saint Vincent University where he studied psychology, he later worked for Regional Residential Services Society (RRSS) as a Counselor for people with intellectual disabilities for approximately 10 years; he formerly lived in Calgary and Ontario while working in local hospitals. Paul most recently resided in Fairview, Halifax, Nova Scotia. Paul loved to travel, had a great sense of humor, enjoyed making people laugh, always had a smile and a twinkle in his big blue eyes, a soft spoken individual with a kind and generous heart most of all Paul loved his family dearly and held his sisters close to his heart.
Paul will be sadly missed by the family and friends he has left behind. Paul is survived by sisters, Lorraine LeBlanc, Elaine (Brendan) Ryan, Linda (Daniel) Doherty, Doris LeBlanc; brother, Andrew LeBlanc, and many nieces and nephews, as well as great nieces and nephews. Paul was predeceased by his parents, Emery and Mary LeBlanc; brothers, William and Donald LeBlanc; nephews, Todd LeBlanc, Jason Doherty and Matthew Ryan.
Arrangements are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral home (2005) Ltd., Halifax, where a visitation will be held April 11 from 11am-1pm with a service of remembrance to follow at 1pm in the funeral home chapel; reception to follow. A donation may be made to Feed Nova Scotia, or to Metro Turning Point Shelter.
