Obituary of Ina Mary Publicover
103, Halifax, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 27, 2015. Born in Poulamon, Cape Breton, she was a daughter of the late Simon and Anna (MacPhee) Martell.
Ina was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a parishioner of St. John the Baptist Church for many years.
Ina is survived by sons, Earl (Marilyn), Albert Bridge, Don (Olive) Calgary; Ken (Anne), Halifax, Robert (Kathy), Eastern Passage and Alan, Halifax; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ina was predeceased by her husband, Creighton; daughter, Mary in childbirth; son, Patrick; brothers, Wilfred and Clarence; sisters, Delia, Muriel and Alice.
In keeping with Ina’s wishes, there will be no visitation. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 7 at 11 AM in St. John the Baptist Church, Purcells Cove Road, with a reception to follow in the church hall. Interment will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the staff of Melville Lodge for the excellent care their mother received during her eight year stay with them. Special thanks to Emma Beveridge who lovingly always went above and beyond the call of duty.
