Obituary of Stephen Patrick Mullins
It is with great sadness that the family of Stephen Mullins announce his passing on Sunday, March 29, 2015 in the Halifax Infirmary, QEII. Born in Halifax on October 19, 1962, he was a son of Gloria (Mossman) Mullins and the late Thomas Mullins.
Stephen loved his family and friends and was much loved in return. He had a quick wit and a great sense of humour. He loved movies, music and sports and enjoyed spending time with friends attending concerts and watching the games on television. Football and hockey were his favourites. Most of Stephen’s working life was in the bakery business. He worked for Snair’s Golden Grain Bakery both in Halifax and PEI and more recently he worked for Sobey’s in Bedford. For a brief time he worked in the hospitality industry at Delta Barrington.
He is survived by his son Mark Lewis Mullins, sisters Tracey Moore, Tantallon, Lysa Marryatt, Halifax; nieces Chelsea Moore, Brittany Thompson; nephews Dylan Moore, Daniel Mullins; uncle Jack (Mary) Mullins; aunts Veronica Mullins and Cathy Hood, as well as cousins in Nova Scotia and Ontario. He was predeceased by his father Tom Mullins, maternal grandparents Everett and Marjorie (Hadden) Mossman; paternal grandparents Hartley and Nan (Coolen) Mullins; aunt Carol (Mossman) Lockhart, and uncle Wayne Mossman.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home, 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax. At Stephen’s request there will be no visitation. The funeral service will be held at St. Michael’s Church in Spryfield on Thursday April 9, 2015 at 2:00 pm with reception to follow. . Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
