Obituary of Beverly Cochrane

Beverly Ann Cochrane (MacLean) My little energetic bunny has taken her last hop. Cochrane, Beverly Ann (MacLean) – Waverley, Nova Scotia, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 6, 2015 at home.  Born in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Vera (Behie) MacLean.  Bev spent many years teaching piano in the community.  Each and every one of her students became a "child" of hers, revelling in each of their accomplishments.  She was an active volunteer in the UnitedChurch community, and her children’s schools as they were growing up.  Over the years Bev was a very active shopper and visitor to all her friends.  While actively being a part of the community, she was fighter, battling cancer and cardiovascular disease and a sixty year battle with diabetes and its complications. Bev leaves behind her husband of 45 years, David; daughter, Michelle Barbour (Drew) Rothesay, New Brunswick, son Steven (Melissa) Lake Echo, Nova Scotia; grandchildren Ainsley, Grace, Anders, J’Lynne, Alexander, David Joseph; many nieces and nephews. A sister, Carrol (Donnie) New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, a brother James (Huguette) Scarborough, Ontario.  She was predeceased by infant daughter Kimberley. Cremation has taken place under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd.  Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2015 from 2 PM to 4 Pm and from 7 PM to 9 PM at St John’sUnitedChurch, Fall River.  Service of Remembrance will be held at on Friday, April 10, 2015 at 1 PM from St. JohnUnitedChurch, Rev. Fillier officiating.  A reception will follow the service.
