Obituary of Verna C. Duggan
Passed away at home on Friday, May 22, 2015. Born 1924 in Sheet Harbour, she was the daughter of the late John Prince and Eva Blanche (Harnish) McInnis.
A long time resident of Spryfield and a mother to all, Verna was a great gardener and a wonderful grandmother. She had a kind heart putting others before herself.
Verna is survived by daughter, Catherine Abbott (Gerard Hickey), Georgetown, Ontario; sons, Edward, Lower Sackville, William (Brenda Diggins), Dartmouth; grandchildren, Eric Abbott (Winnipeg) and Leah Duggan; brother in-law, Frank "Lindy" (Pat) and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Donald Gordon; siblings, Murdoch Leroy, John Alexander "Alec", Everett Raymond "Ray", Sherman Francis "Frank", Harry Wallace, Margaret Jean "Jeannie" (Walsh), Donald MacMillian "Donnie" and Joan (in infancy).

Arrangements are under the direction of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. In keeping with Verna’s wishes, there will be no visitation. A service of remembrance will be held on June 4 at 2:00 pm in St. Paul’s United Church, Rev. Catherine MacDonald officiating; reception to follow the service in the church hall.
