Obituary of Helen Josephine Bishop

95, passed away peacefully July 18, 2015, in MelvilleGardens, Halifax. Born in Halifax, May 22, 1920, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Martha (Jaynes) Murphy. She is survived by sons Frank (Paulette) Halifax, Donald (Ruth) Victoria BC , Helen (Paul) Ferguson, Porters Lake; 7 Grandchildren: Crystal, Suzanne, Pamela, Tracey, Lauren, Joanne, Miles;13 great grandchildren; 1 great-great granddaughter; brother Ken Murphy, Halifax and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by husband Wallace; son Bert; grandson Frank; brothers Pat Murphy, Jack Murphy; sister Edna Murphy. Mom was a homemaker and lived her entire life in the South Spryfield/Armdale area and has been a resident of MelvilleGardens since 2005. Special thanks to the staff of MelvilleGardens for their expert and loving care. Arrangements are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd, 149 Herring Cove Rd., Halifax where a memorial service will be held on July 23, 2015 at 11 am. Interment to follow at FairviewLawnCemetery.
