Obituary of Dennis L. "Denny" Cameron

68, Halifax. It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our dear brother, uncle and friend, Dennis Lewis Cameron on August 13, 2015. Born in Sheet Harbour, he was a son of the late Lewis and Kay (Rutledge) Cameron.  Denny thoroughly enjoyed hunting, fishing and going for long country drives.  He was known for his unending kindness and generosity to anyone who needed him.  He will be sadly missed by all. He is survived by his children, Peggy, Gregory, Ronnie and Holly; brothers, Ernie, (Lorraine), Kenneth (Debbie), Grant (Catherine) and Michael (Kathleen); sisters, Carol, (Borden) Garrison and Hedy Cameron, all of Halifax; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters, Sandra Forbes and Cheryl Arnold. Special thanks to Janet Smith and all his dear friends at 542 Herring Cove Road for all of their help and support. Arrangements are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, where visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 18 from 7-9 PM. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, August 19 at 2 PM from the funeral home chapel, Rev. Gordon Relf officiating. Reception to follow at The Earl Francis Spryfield Memorial Legion, 7 Sussex St.
