Obituary of Margaret Grace Sparkes (Jewers)

78, Halifax, passed away peacefully at home on September 9, 2015. Born in Ecum Secum, she was a daughter of the late Heath and Marjorie (Myers) Jewers. Margaret is survived by husband of 51 years, Gerald Sparkes; sons, Terry Holland (Sue), Wayne Neuman (Mag) and Albert Sparkes; daughters, Christine Holland, Geraldine "Gerry" O’Donnell and Violet Sparkes; grandchildren, Troy, Tabatha, Cedulea, Tyrel, Terry, Courtney, Samara, Cavell, Shawn, Max and Ryan; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; brother, Oswald "Ossie" Jewers; sisters, Helen Harvey, Eleanor Pye and Edna Walsh; She was predeceased by great granddaughter, Nikita; brothers, Edmond, Murray and Pat; sisters, Beulah and Beatrice. Arrangements are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2205) Ltd. 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax, where visitation will be held on Sunday, September 13 from 7-9pm. Funeral service will be held on Monday, September 14 at 10am in the funeral home chapel, Major Kirk McLeod officiating. Interment to follow in St.Johns Cemetery, Bedford Hwy.
