Obituary of Gordon Ronald Blackmore

Age 73, of   Beechville passed away peacefully September 13, 2015 in the Halifax Infirmary, QEII, surrounded by family and friends.   Born in Beechville, he was a son of the late Kathleen (Loppie) Blackmore and the late Alphonso Blackmore. He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years Martha (Shephard) his sons Paul (Ottawa), Gordon Jr, and Christopher of Beechville; daughter Paula; Ottawa;   sisters   Donna,   Ruby, Margaret , Dorothy , Linda; brothers Earl, Donald, Carl, Roy, Russel; God children Leahanne and Wade as well as many  grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by family members Barbara, Phyllis, Maureen, Pauline and Earl Sr. He worked for many years McFatridge Tar and Gravel and in recent years with the Halifax County Municipality until his retirement. Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 16 from 2-4 and 7-9pm at Beechville Baptist Church, with a funeral service taking place on Thursday September 17 at 2pm from Beechville Baptist Church.
