Obituary of Clifford Edward Crozsman
90, Halifax, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 19, 2015 in the VG Site QEII, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late George and Margaret (Guest) Crozsman.
Clifford worked as a Brakeman with the CNR in his early years and then as a car salesman until his retirement. Many summers were spent at the family cottage in East Covey Lake, which was a magnet for friends and family from near and far. He was a sweet, handsome, charming, fun loving man who will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Clifford is survived by his sons, Randy (Brenda), New Minas; Mark (Flora), Halifax; daughters, Debbie (Maurice) Digdon, Hammonds Plains; Brenda (Angus) Macpherson, Halifax; grandchildren, Michael, Amy, Melissa, Brett and Beth and 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Shirley Porter. He was predeceased by his wife of 62 years, Jean; five sisters and one brother.
Special thanks to the staff of the VG Palliative Care 5A, for their compassionate care and support; and to the staff of Steak and Stein and Fredies Fantastic Fish House for their many kindnesses over the years.
Arrangements are under the direction of J. A. Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Spryfield (477-5601). In keeping with Clifford’s wishes there will be no visitation. A service of remembrance will be held on Thursday, September 24 at 11 AM from the funeral home chapel, Rev. Gloria Churchill officiating, with a reception to follow. Family flowers only, donations in Clifford’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
