Obituary of M. Elaine Haslund

HASLUND , Marjorie Faustina Elaine, Mother of Dawn Haslund (Ryan McDow) and Tracy Haslund. Momma Bear to her Grand-Sons Kye and Kody Cowper has joined her Beloved  Husband Ronald Haslund in God’s Loving Embrace. Celebrating Elaine’s joy-filled, generous heart and sense of humor is her brother Ray Crawford and sisters in laws Arlene Charette, Gail Crawford and Muriel Crawford. Elaine was predeceased by her brother Emerson Crawford and her sister Helen Astley. Elaine is forever praised for her tremAstley endous work ethic at Southwester Restaurant & Gift Shop in historic Peggy’s Cove. Elaine worked in the Post Office of the Lighthouse at Peggy’s Cove. Elaine valued her co-workers at Glade’s Lodge where she humbly served all residents all their meals with the true spirit of a communion minister. Elaine loved planting seeds of hospitality wherever she went, Elaine lived out her faith through her volunteer work at Veterans Memorial Hospital, V.G Hospital, Melville Lodge: and anywhere she could help somebody who was blest to call her friend, Elaine’s Legacy of  Love and faith was shared for many years @ Indian Harbour Baptist Church where donations may be made in Elaine’s memory.
