Obituary of Timothy John Adams
age 56, passed away on Thursday, October 1, in the Halifax Infirmary, QEII, after a brief illness. Born in Halifax, on January. 3, 1959. He was the son of Jack Adams (Lucy) and Maureen Palmer (Norman).
Tim worked for 30 years for the Spring Garden Road Parking Association, and as a Commissionaire for 2 years until his retirement. Tim enjoyed life even with his disabilities. He would often be seen swimming in Grand Lake, or walking. Everyone appreciated his humour, his thoughtfulness of others, and his ability to overcome the diversities that were related to his first stroke. He worked hard with his speech therapist and developed a unique way to communicate. Everyone knew of his self taught talent for detailed pencil drawings and took it upon himself to successfully learn the art of water color painting after his first stroke. Tim always believed his talents were God given and gave thanks every day. He was a wonderful son, a great brother and a loving father. He is survived by his sons Tristan (April), of Victoria BC, and Luke of Windsor, NS, sister Cheryl (Daniel) Robichaud of Lower Sackville, and brother Wade of Halifax, granddaughters Alana and Isabelle, nephews Gregory and Christopher and many aunts and uncles.
