Obituary of Wayne Joseph Wournell

64, passed away on October 19th, 2015 at home in Shad Bay - where he was most happy on the water with friends. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Thomas and Mary Wournell. Wayne is survived by his son, Craig (Jessica) and Craig’s mother, Marie; brothers, Paul and David; sisters, Brenda (Oscar) and Susie; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Stanley, Sonny and Edward. Arrangements are made under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Rd. Halifax, where visitation will be held on Saturday, October 24th from 6-8 pm. A service of remembrance will be held on Sunday, October 25th at 2 pm, from the funeral home chapel, Pastor John Wilton officiating, with a reception to follow. Interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Cancer Care Nova Scotia.
