Obituary of Lawrence "Larry" Rose

Age 64 of Prospect, Nova Scotia.  It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Larry Rose. He left us on October 21, 2015, peacefully surrounded by family and friends while at home after a prolonged fight with Cancer.  Born in Halifax, he leaves behind his Best Friend, Loving Wife, and Partner in Crime, Bertha "Bert", his sons, Gordie and Damien (Alice Walden), daughter, Melissa (Ian Hildebrand) and grandchildren, Damien Jr. (DJ) and Brianna. Larry was the son of Joan (Rose) Babin, deceased, and raised by parents, Bill and Hazel Rose, both deceased. He was predeceased by his brother, Lindsey and sisters, Betty and Madge. He is survived by his brothers, Ernie, David, Barry, and Robbie as well as sisters, Debbie, Judy, Tina and Marilyn.  Larry was known for the love of his family and friends, his music and his time on the bridge of his boat.  His laughter and presence on Prospect Bay will be sorely missed.   There will be a memorial service at St. Timothy`s Church, 2320 Prospect Road, Hatchet Lake, at 3:30 pm on Friday, October 30th, 2015.  Immediately following the service, there will be a Celebration of Larry's life at the Bay Landing, 354 Prospect Bay Road.  There will be a second Celebration of Life on Saturday, October 31st, 2015 at 2 PM, at the Purcell's Cove Social Club, 505 Purcell's Cove Road, Halifax.  Donations, in lieu of flowers, can be made to  littersncritters@eastlink.ca orvalleyhart@hotmail.com.
