Obituary of Marie G. Murray

Murray, Marie G. (Basmajian)- Age 90, of Lakeside/Timberlea, passed away peacefully early Saturday November 21, 2015 at Magnolia Continuing Care, Enfield. Born in Halifax on November 23, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Alex and Agnes (Romans) Basmajian. Marie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She would always offer a helping hand when needed but did not want to inconvenience anyone when she needed help. She enjoyed cryptograms and puzzles. Marie is survived by sons Fred (Lorraine), Lower Sackville, Ron (Debbie), Gerald (Carol) Halifax and Don, Timberlea; daughter Catherine (Ed) Wilson, Timberlea; 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 46 years, Fred; brothers Alex and Lloyd Basmajian; sisters Barb (Ches) Smith, Diane (Earl) Leaman and twin sisters Madeline and Kathleen in infancy. The family would like to sincerely thank the staff of Magnolia Continuing care for their compassion and support over the 4 years Marie was there. Special thanks to the staff of Bayberry. Arrangements are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd, Halifax. No visitation by request. Funeral service at Trinity United Church (Timberlea) will be Thursday November 26 at 11am. Reception to follow. Private family interment to take place.
