Obituary of Tony Douglas Peterson

Age 53, Halifax, it is with heavy hearts we announce the passing, of Tony Douglas Peterson at home on December 8, 2015. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the Late Herman and Barbara (Roose) Peterson. One of Tony’s passions was Elvis, he had collected all of his albums and memorabilia, he was also a Toronto Maples Leafs fan. He loved his work and playing hockey, especially as a goalie. He is survived by his loving partner, Laura Murphy; former wife and close friend Nancy; children, Ryan (Erin), Logan, Leah Kennedy (Will), Kayla (James), Kaitlyn and Grace, their mother Katherine; brothers, Herman, Dean (Susan) and Dale Boutilier (Susan); sisters, Cindy Bannister (Joey), Sharon Cameron (Donnie) and Kim Oulton (Stephen), all of Halifax; grandchildren, Aaron, Jacob, Sydney, Brayden and future grandchild, due in June and numerous nieces and nephews. He will be missed alot by his brothers, Herman and Dean, family and many friends. Arrangements are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. 149 Herring Cove Rd. where a celebration of his life will be Friday December 11, 2015 at 1 p.m. Reception to follow. Private family interment to take place in Fairview Lawn Cemetery Halifax. A special thanks to the doctors and staff of the Palliative Care Unit, QEII and to his family physician Dr. Gregus.
