Obituary of Daniel "Joe" McIsaac
61, Halifax, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, December 30, 2015, at home. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Daniel and Veronica (Forward) McIsaac.
Joe worked as a painter for the last 25 years, which was not just a job but something he enjoyed doing. Married to the love of his life for 42 years and even though they had their ups and downs their love was stronger than ever. He loved fishing, swimming, playing and watching baseball. He would pick up his grandkids and take them fishing or for a swim at Centennial pool. He loved going for drives with no destination in mind with his wife and best friend, his dog Rocky. There was nothing in the world that meant more to him than his family. He would say that his grandchildren are what kept his heart beating. He will be dearly missed by all of his family and friends but the great memories we have with him will live in our hearts forever.
Joe is survived by his loving wife, Elaine; children, DJ (Nancy), Vicki (Mark) and Billy (Trisha); grandchildren, Keigan, Aiden, Dawson, Adison, Tanner, Ally, Brett, Jesse and another granddaughter due any day; brother, Duddy (Diane); sister, Linda (Craig); parents in-law, Bill and Jerry Hall. He was predeceased by sister, Anne.
Arrangements are under the direction of J. A. Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, where visitation will be held on Friday, January 8 from 1-3 PM. A service of remembrance will follow at 3 PM from the funeral home chapel. Family flowers only.
