Obituary of Ronald B. Richard

77, Halifax. It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden loss of Ron, on Friday, February 5, 2016. He was a son of the late William and Tossie Mae (Gerrior) Richard. Ron was a member of the Black Watch in his younger days, before moving on to baking for a living, and enjoying it in his spare time once he retired. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him, including his sweet little fur baby pup, Chloe, who was his little shadow. Ron had his companion, Marge Wigginton, of almost 30 years, and her family by his side, as well as his children, Debbie (Ken) Allen, Tony and Denine (Shawn); 5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He is also survived by sister, Jeanette (Bobby) Downing; brothers, Ronnie Richard and Ralph Ballard; many loving nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by infant son, Allen; sisters, Shirley and Clara; brothers, Dennis and Earl. Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 20 from 1 PM until the time of the funeral service at 3 PM with a reception to follow the service; all in J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax. Interment will take place at a later date.
