Obituary of Kenneth J. Laing

Laing, Kenneth James:  78, Sambro, passed away on February 16, 2016 at the New Halifax Infirmary, Halifax, NS.  Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Frederick and Dorothy (Ryan) Laing.  For many years, Ken was a truck diver with Ocean View Fishing.  He loved hunting and fishing, getting together with family, and especially loved to joke around.  He is survived by his loving wife, Eunice (Crossman), his sons, Danny, Kim and Raymond, his brother, Frank Laing, sisters, Sheila Emmons and Joan Gray, as well as his grandsons, Trevor and Travis, "Grampys girls", Mya and Izzy, and 4 great-grandkids.  He was predeceased by his sister, Shirley. Cremation has taken place under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax, where visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 from 1-3, followed by a memorial service in the chapel beginning at 3 PM.  Interment will take place at St. James’ Cemetery, Sambro, NS at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of ones choice.  Words of comfort may be sent to the family by visiting www.walkerfh.com.
