Obituary of Audrey Lillian Pangborne (MacDonald)
88, It is with great sorrow the family of Audrey Lillian announce her passing on August 14th, 2016 at Saint Vincent’s Nursing Home. Audrey was born in Halifax on April 3rd, 1928, daughter of the late Ainsley Boutilier & Ida Casley.
She is survived by her sons Donald B. MacDonald (Jeannette) Dartmouth, Tony A. MacDonald (Melissa) Ont., Daughters Carroll E. Ryan (Jim) Oshawa, Anita D. MacDonald-Arenburg (Todd) Bridgewater; 9 grandchildren Robert Ryan (Tracy) Michigan, Kimberlea Kwon (Max) Oshawa, Donnie MacDonald (Crystal) Cole Harbour, Tony MacDonald (Amy) East Chezzetcook, Christopher West (Crystal) Bridgewater, Shaun West (Jess) Bridgewater, Amanda MacDonald (Josh) Ont., Justin MacDonald Ont., Christian MacDonald (Samantha) Ont., and 10 Great grandchildren.
Audrey was proceeded by her 1st husband Donald H. MacDonald, 2nd husband Paul Pangborne, Audrey was devoted to her family & faith, she was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist church for over 75yrs, in the early 50’s Audrey was an operator with Maritime Telephone & Telegraph Co., moving on in the late 50’s she held a position with CP Railway as a teletype operator., Audrey was a foster parent for more than 30 yrs. & over that time she fostered 100 children providing a loving home & safe haven, she was also a member of the One Parent Association. Audrey& her family enjoyed many summers at the SDA campgrounds in Pugwash & days before her passing many of these memories were relived.
Memorial service will be held to celebration Audrey’s life on Thursday August 18 at 1pm from the Seventh Day Adventist Church on 2063 Parker Street, Halifax.
The Family wishes to send out a special Thank-you to the Staff at Saint Vincent’s Nursing Home for their exceptional care & love for Audrey during her stay. Thank-you to Paulette for her long service & care for our mother, and to all the folks who made many visits while mom was at the QEII & nursing home we appreciate your love & support.
Cremation has been conducted, In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Sandy Lake Academy, Hammonds Plains Road, Bedford NS., B4V 1Y2.
