Obituary of Blanche Lewis (Smith)

Halifax, passed away peacefully at the age of 94 in Arborstone Nursing Home, Halifax, on Saturday, October 8, 2016. Born October 9,1921 in Grand Bank, NL, she was a daughter of the late William and Martha Smith. Blanche worked as a Domestic Worker for many years in St. John’s, NL. She loved visiting her sister, Mildred in Halifax during her summer vacations; she especially loved going to the Dingle, Fleming Park where she enjoyed watching her nieces and nephews playing on the beach. Blanche will always be remembered for her great sense of humour. She is survived by her sister, Mildred Ayres of Halifax and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Fred, Frank and John Smith. Special thank you to all the nursing staff at Arborstone Nursing Home and especially to Carla Clarke for all you have done. A funeral service date and time will be announced at a later date.
