Obituary of Cecil Frank Bowers

Age 71, Halifax, passed away Friday June 2, 2017, at the Halifax Infirmary, QEII. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Walter and Ethel (Green) Bowers. Cecil is survived by sons, Timothy "Timmy", Eric; daughter, Juanita Comeau (Danny); brother, Kevin; sisters, Rose Kelly "Sissy", Dana Godsoe, Eileen Beaver, Deborah "Debbie" Bowers (Scott Tunis), Bonita "Bonnie" Wavrock (Alvin "Al" Johnson); grandchildren, Kayla, Robyn, Eric, Taylor, Brooklyn, Abby, Savannah, Hunter; great grandchildren, Lyla, Maisy, Channing; special daughter, Patches; sister-in-law, Valerie Bowers. He was predeceased by his wife, Sharon (Godfrey); brothers; Bert "Wardy", Charles and Joseph "Joe". He will be missed by all, especially for when he would say "Ya Baby". Arrangements are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. 149 Herring Cove Rd., where a visitation will take place Tuesday June 6 from 7-9 p.m. Service of Remembrance will held Wednesday June 7 at 1p.m. from the funeral home chapel. Interment to take place at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or an animal shelter of your choice. The family would like to give a special thank you to the medical staff of 8.2 and 8.3 of the Halifax Infirmary. And a special thanks to Dr. Haase, Dr. Raid and Dr. Manu for their compassionate care.
