Obituary of Dorothy May Miles

Age 98, Halifax. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dorothy “Dodo” May Miles (Riley) on April 15, 2018. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Hazel (Westhaver) Riley.

She is survived by daughters, Betty (Ron) Garby, Spruce Grove AB; Sharon (Greg) Mitchell, Brookside: son, Craig (Geraldine) Miles, Brookside: sister Frances (Robert) Hannay: brothers, Harold (Inez) and Carman (Anna); 5 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 2 great, great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by beloved husband, Roy: sister, Shirley: brothers, Wayne and Clarence “Junior”.

Arrangements are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. 149 Herring Cove Rd. where a funeral service will be held on Thursday April 19 at 11am, reception to follow. Private family interment to take place. Family flowers only, donations can be made in Dodo’s name to The Golden Age Club, Young at Heart 212 Herring Cove Road, Halifax NS B3P 1L2.
