You were a bright light in my life Glenda. I loved you like a sister. I wish I could have been more of a help to you as you grew more disabled and ill but my own disability restricted me too. We were Thelma and Louise when we were out shopping and we could always crack each other up better than just about anyone else. I wish there had been another way for you to find freedom from your pain but since there wasn't, I can only rejoice that you are without pain now. Rest easy my dear friend and if I feel a little whoosh of a wind in my ear, I'll know it's your angel wings as you do a fly by. My most sincere condolences to the entire family.

I knew Glenda over thirty years ago. She helped me with my home and two sons. It did not take me very long to see past her exterior to find a loving, warm person whom I trusted my young children with. My youngest, Robert was always with her. He even sat on the vacuum cleaner and went around the house "helping" her. She was so loving, patient and kind with them. Once, she came to my cottage with us in Pictou County. When we finished at the end of the day, we put on our pj's, drank wine and ate lobster in front of the fire. A lovely memory. She became a very important part of our family. She always spoke about Shane and her Mother. She called me once many years ago and I never heard from her again. I have thought of her so often wondering where she might be. I was very saddened to read that she died. She will always have a special spot in my heart. Warmest thoughts to you all.

So sorry to lose the treasure Glenda was throughout her lifetime. I reminder well our days playing at Aunt Rosie’s farm, my two sisters Sandra & Mary-Lee, with our three cousins Diane, Carol-Anne & Glenda. What fun we all had with not much more than great imaginations, deep love for family and the pure joy of childhood play in open spaces. We lost Mary-Lee in September of 2016 and now Glenda- the babies of both families are gone far too soon, but are always with us in our hearts, minds and memories. Much love, Gail
