Obituary of Heather Ann Whitehead

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Heather, Spryfield, on May 26, 2018 surrounded by her family, following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Halifax, February 14, 1950 to the late Mable (Hampton) and Arthur Whitehead.

Heather was involved with Mainland South Heritage Society, Spryfield Residence Association, Chebucto Walking Club, Friends of McNabs Island, Williams Lake Conservation Society and Emmanuel Anglican Church, Spryfield.

She is survived by her sisters, Sandra, Halifax; Valerie Blackmore, Fall River; Beverley Dubay (Busch), Timberlea; brothers, Stanley (Charlene), Halifax; David, Harrietsfield; aunt, Jessie Hampton, Spryfield; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 1 from 6-8 PM, in J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 2 at 11 AM in Emmanuel Anglican Church, 322 Herring Cove Road, Spryfield; reception to follow in the church hall.
