Obituary of Carol Ann Murphy

Our loving, kind, devoted, wife, mother, and friend, unexpectedly passed away in the early morning on Monday, September 3, 2018. She was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia to the late Marie MacDonald, and raised by the late Margaret Lillian “Peggy” (MacDonald) Biron and the late Paul E. Biron.

While growing up in the North End of Halifax, Carol loved traveling to Cape Breton to visit her extended family. She spent some of her childhood with her cousins and dear niece (“little sister”), Rhonda. Carol graduated from St. Patrick’s High School, where she met her sweetheart, Gary Murphy, and later married. Carol also graduated from Miss Murphy’s Business College, and pursued a career in the public sector. Carol and Gary had one daughter, Meghan, who they raised with great care and love. Carol supported and loved Meghan unconditionally. She was there for Meghan at every stage of her life and was her best friend. Carol was always someone her family could depend on for comfort, advice, and love. She was our rock. Recently, Carol travelled with Meghan to Boston, and with Gary to Quebec, where special moments with her were shared and will never be forgotten. Carol’s absence in our lives leaves an empty void in our hearts. Carol will always be loved, remembered, and missed greatly by all who knew her.

Arrangements are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. A private family interment to take place at a later date at Mount Olivet Cemetery Halifax.
