Obituary of Harry Allen Murphy
Age 82 of Halifax passed away surrounded by family September 5, 2018. He was a son of the late Harry and Emily (Adams) Murphy. He loved country music especially Howey Shepard. He was a volunteer firefighter for many years, he loved to give back to his community. He also enjoyed WWF wrestling and looking at the Christmas lights. He is survived by his partner Mary Boomhour; sons, Ronnie Meakins and Bobby Burns; daughters; Gloria Poan, Sharon Campbell and Stepdaughter Kathy (Bill) Ridgley and Linda Duplessie; grandchildren; Mike (Kim), Anthony (Heather), Cadney (April) Chan (Miriam) Jeronimo (Amanda), Johnny ( Geneva), Dominique (Paul), Reggie and Kyrell; many great grandchildren; brothers, Vincent (Jean) Murphy and Gerald (Debbie) Murphy; sisters, Greta Walters, Mary Sullivan, Carol Bonin, Donna (Dennis) Richardson and Dorthy ( Ken) Henderson and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his late wife Jenny Murphy; brother Malcolm; sisters, Violet, Marjorie, rose and Lillian. Arrangements are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd, 149 Herring Cove Road Halifax, NS. As per Harry’s wishes a visitation will be held at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. Monday September 10, 2018. A funeral service will be in the chapel Tuesday September 11, 2018 at 1 p.m. Following the service, a burial will be held at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Lower Sackville. A reception will be held at the Spryfield Legion at 3-5:30 p.m with a light lunch
