I remember the backyard when Grampy filled the basins with water in the summer. Watching him take a nap in his chair. Crawling in bed between Nanny and Grampy early morning talking about Grampy’s tattoos and what kind of shaped pancakes I wanted for breakfast. His kisses and smell of his aftershave. Taking me out to get school supplies and all the most generous things he did for me. Sitting in his office playing solitaire on his computer and watching him make wine. Those moments when no body was looking at me but he was with a wink. I loved sitting back at Nan and Grampys looking around at the beautiful family of Julie, Jill, Donna, and my uncles and cousins, man is our family big; as a kid and thinking how lucky I was. Of course so much more - he was awesome at helping me with my math homework too haha.
I would never trade those memories for anything in the world. He gave me love a granddaughter will never forget. He gave me some of the best parts of being a child. Grampy, I love you.
