Obituary of Eunice Marie Messervey

MESSERVEY, Eunice Marie- Age 80 of Halifax passed away July 23, 2019 at the Halifax Infirmary.  She was a daughter of the late Dora and Ivan Josey.  She was a mother to her three sons, Kevin, Paul and Michael, and care taker of all her family.  Her mother and sister were in her home and care for many years.   Eunice enjoyed going to her Church, Emmanuel Anglican of Spryfield and spent many years as a member of the Mother’s Union.  She enjoyed life, sharing times with her extended family an watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow up. She will be forever in our thoughts and hearts as we share stories of the good times and her quirky sense of humor.  She will be truly missed and loved by all.  She is survived by her sons Kevin (Jeanne), Williams wood, Paul (Shelley), and Michael (Denise), Halifax; granddaughters, Michelle (Harper) Messervey and Krystal (Scott) Boutiler;great-grandsons Liam and Jackson; brother, Ronald (Vicki) Josey; sister, Linda (Martin) MacDonald; and many nieces and nephews.  She is predeceased by her husband (Bill) William Messervey and brother Eugene Josey (Sandra).  Arrangements are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax, NS. In keeping with Eunice’s wishes there will be a visitation held Thursday July 25, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8 at the funeral home.  A funeral service will be held in our chapel on Friday July 26, 2019 at 11 a.m.  A burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers; donations can be made to Emmanuel Anglican Church, Spryfield, NS.  To place words of comfort please visit www.walkerfh.com
